Others were initially bred for the hunting purpose of hunting big game. Examples are the Chihuahuas, Alaskan Huskies, Beagles, and Jackalopes.

Hunting Dogs:

The more popular ones are hunting dogs. Some breeds like the German Shepherds were initially bred to hunt and retrieve while some others like the German Shepherds were used for protection, such as in hunting ranches, small game, and in police services, search and rescue services, or police dogs.

While all dog breeds can be excellent hunters, some species do better at hunting than others. The Golden Retrievers have incredible endurance, agility, speed, and endurance, while the Labrador Retrievers, Alaskan Huskies, Australian Shepherd Dogs, and the Great Danes have more robust bodies. The Greyhound is a good swimmer, while the Greyhound Terrier is excellent jumpers, which may be good sports dogs.

Dogs for Security:

Other dog breeds used for various functions are Police Dogs, Service Dogs, Therapy Horses, Search and Rescue dogs, and Puppy Trainers. Dog breeders prefer to find the best breeds right for the job, and not necessarily what the client wants to own.

Many dog breeds do not require too much exercise. But some dog breeds require training to keep them healthy and fit and happy to be around children and other animals in their homes. Some species, such as the German Shepherds, Jack Rottweiler’s, Cairn Terriers, and Doberman Pinschers. May not like being alone, so training and socialization may be required the owner to get these breeds to relax and become accustomed to other dogs or people.

Dog breeders usually try to find the breed. That will be most suited to their pet, their home, and their lifestyle. Some species like the working dog, while others are more laid back and more relaxed and want to spend time with people or pets. It’s really up to the owner to decide what type of dog they want for themselves and their family.

Which one Better:

Some dogs are so outgoing that you may find that you want to walk a different breed of dog. Especially if you are living the near a busy street where other dogs may be barking at all the time of the day or night. If you live on an urban street, you may be better off with an urban dog breed. Such as the Boxer, Yorkie, Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Chihuahua, Chow Chows, Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, or Cairn Terrier.

Large Dogs bread:

On the other hand, some large breeds are good at running and playing in large. And open spaces and can sometimes feel intimidated by smaller species.

Therefore, if you have a small home and need a large dog that will run and play. Then a large breed, such as a Siberian Husky or a German Shepherd, maybe the way to go.

How to Choose Dog bread:

One thing you need to consider when you are choosing a dog breed is to check into what the breed has been used for in history. If a species has many descendants, then they have probably been around since the beginning of man. Also, ask your local breeder to see if the breed has any known health problems. Some species may have been known to have certain diseases such as hip or knee dysplasia and other severe conditions. So you make sure that you know this information before you buy it.
